Competition

Finally the day I longed for had came. Today is a very special day. Today I went to participate in a training session for an upcoming competition. You might be wondering what a competition needs to have a training session before the real game. The name of the competition Is called National Educational Gaming Competition (N.E.G.C). You guess it! It is a gamming competition. The game is called Virtual Battle Space 2 (V.B.S.2) the objective of the game is to gain as many points as possible by eliminating enemies or buildings. In other scenarios, we must protect the building from being taken over. It is a shooting game consisting of 19 people in a team.
Everything was in a mess at first. We were supposed to meet up at the foyer. However, half of the team went off first before our teacher in-charge M.R. Sng came to meet us. A few of us could not find him at first. After ten minutes of the supposed time he appeared. He told us that a few of them have left. We slowly walked to the bus stop as we wanted to stall some time for my friend Xuan Ying to catch up with us from the library.
After ten minutes or so, we arrived a the Parkway Parade’s bus stop. Another of my friend wanted to buy a drink called “COY”. It was a type of bubble tea. I bought one cup there and it tasted quite nice. After another fifteen minutes of walk from there, we reached our destination – High Café. There, some of our teammates were already there. We started off by doing a training tutorial to know what the controls are.
Soon we all finished three of our tutorials. There was trouble trying to convince the people helping out at the café that we all finished the tutorials so fast. Soon after, we managed to have a practice match against each other. It was very fun. Due to our negligence to the time and our teamwork we only managed to play three matches. We spent like almost one hour just trying to ask everyone to cooperate while entering the game. I played a part as a medic to help cure people’s injury and mine to in the virtual world. At five we al left as most of us were rushing for time to go somewhere else.
